In honor of BST Global’s 50th anniversary, the company hosted a special celebration at Tampa’s Armature Works on April 1, 2022. BST Global employees and guests came together for an evening of fun and socializing. Global employees were also invited to join via livestream. The event also served as an homage to the company’s late founder, Carlos. A. Baldor Sr., as it was held on his birthday.
Company leaders took to the mic to reflect and reminisce on BST Global’s history and share their hopes for its future. Event attendees were then treated to a debut screening of a 20-minute documentary about the company, its founder and his legacy.
“This is truly an amazing accomplishment and milestone for our entire BST Global family,” Chief Executive Officer Javier A. Baldor said. “Tonight, we will celebrate the visionary and man behind all of this, my late father, Carlos Baldor. Sr., and all our wonderful leaders and professionals around the world that made this possible.”
Chief Operating Officer Delmar Warnock set the intention for the night when he said, “There are a lot of things I’m looking to do tonight. I’m looking to reflect, I’m looking to remember, I’m looking to honor, I’m looking to probably shed a tear or two, I’m looking to laugh a lot because I want to hear a lot of stories, and I’m also looking to celebrate with all of you all the great things we’ve done over the years.”
Before cueing the documentary to begin, Chief Product Officer Debbie Preacher shared what she tells people when they ask what it is like to work at BST Global. “I love what I do here, and I love very much who I do it for: the Baldor family and my friend Carlos Sr. And I really love who I do it with, and that’s all of you.”
After the documentary played, President & Chief Technology Officer Carlos. A. Baldor Jr., addressed the crowd. “I often try to think about what my dad would think of this day, and I can’t imagine what would be going through his mind. But to that end, like any father of a child who has accomplished a milestone, he’d be very, very proud.”
The room erupted in applause, and continued with chatter as the group shared stories, laughter and joy.
