Summary of Duties & Responsibilities

The BST Artificial Intelligence and Analytics (AI+A) product team develops reporting, business intelligence (BI) and artificial intelligence/machine learning software products.

The Product Manager is responsible for working with key stakeholders to understand business requirements, deriving analytics product features and guiding the process to create analytics and AI/ML software products using the latest Business Intelligence, Big Data, and Artificial / Machine Learning technologies. Work with key stakeholders to ensure ongoing product usefulness and relevance in the context of changing market conditions.

The ideal candidate is an exceptional critical thinker who is adept at solving complex problems and creating elegant business solutions. This is considered a highly technical role as it involves the design and development efforts for our SaaS cloud-based big data solutions including data lake, Business Intelligence Solutions, Machine Learning, Data Pipelines, lakehouse, and data warehouse products.

Essential Functions

  • Maintain awareness of Business Intelligence, Big Data, and AI/Machine Learning market landscape, from a design, functional and end-user perspective
  • Maintain subject matter expertise on the functionality of Business Intelligence, Big Data, and AI/Machine Learning product portfolio
  • Evangelize BST Business Intelligence, Big Data, and AI/Machine Learning product portfolio to end users and stakeholders, and track adoption
  • Contribute to ongoing evolution and maintenance of overall BST Business Intelligence, Big Data, and AI/Machine Learning product roadmap
  • Conduct daily team scrum meetings.
  • Create and maintain product features backlog.

Skills & Competencies

  • Must have Agile product delivery and Azure Dev Ops experience.
  • Must have demonstrated experience delivering SaaS Business Intelligence and predictive analytics products into production.
  • Well-versed in the market landscape of leading BST Business Intelligence, Big Data, and AI/Machine Learning product offerings
  • Deep understanding of core architectural/engineering firm processes, and ability to contextualize less common and/or specialized processes
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge of the industry trends for, and practical application of, Business Intelligence, Big Data, and AI/Machine Learning to solve specific business problems.
  • Must be able to develop the appropriate value proposition with supporting ROIs to quantify investments in Business Intelligence, Big Data, and AI/Machine Learning

Release Management

  • Work closely with Release Management team to communicate product roadmap and plan for software releases
  • Coordinate with Release Management to ensure the solutions follow the release and software configuration management (SCM) process

Project Management

  • Coordinate with the Project Manager to ensure the project plan is structured in a manner that can ease tracking and reporting of product features
  • Work closely with the Project Manager to communicate product roadmap, work backlog, and estimates
  • Work closely with the project manager to ensure all work items are properly estimated organized, and tracked within the project plan

Functional

  • Proficient in design and functionality of Business Intelligence, Big Data, and AI/Machine Learning product portfolio, with ability to offer best practices on configuration and usage
  • Analyze and document requirements for major new areas of Business Intelligence, Big Data, and AI/Machine Learning product functionality

Leadership

  • Deliver presentations and facilitate discussions on leveraging and evolving Business Intelligence, Big Data, and AI/Machine Learning product portfolio to address business requirements and/or issues
  • Work with the AI+A Director to provide guidance and direction to the product team and other product stakeholders regarding positioning, design and usage of Business Intelligence, Big Data, and AI/Machine Learning product portfolio

Technical

  • Correlate end-user product issues and modifications to general component of underlying product design and architecture
  • Develop proficiencies in evaluating and recommending architecture and solutions for Business Intelligence, Big Data, and AI/Machine Learning

User

  • Well-versed in end-user feedback on the use of dashboards, AI/Machine Learning product portfolio, and actively engaged with BST key stakeholders and end-user community
  • Advocate of dashboards, AI/Machine Learning for end-user needs and BST objectives

Performs other related duties as assigned

Education or Prior Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Statistical Data Analytics
  • 10+ years of experience in planning or managing the development of commercial software products
  • Full proficiency in full life cycle software development process
