The prestigious speaker lineup at this year’s AI Summit brought some influential new guests to our podcast, including WSP’s Chief Technology Officer and Head of Business Solutions, Chadi Habib. In this episode of The Trailblazers, Chadi and BST Global’s Chief Executive Officer, Javier A. Baldor, discuss how WSP is tackling some of the “big, hairy problems” the AEC industry is facing today. 
 
Through AI tools such as GenAI, LLMs, agentic AI and more, Chadi sees the opportunity to eliminate mundane tasks from the day-to-day operations of engineers so they can contribute more value much faster. He also sees how these technologies can make knowledge transfer more effective, stating, “Very smart people retire every year and take a piece of knowledge with them. What if we’re able to not only retain it but multiply that brilliance and give junior engineers and scientists the collective knowledge of up to 50 experts in a domain?” Additionally, Chadi delves into the importance of democratizing data and how doing so will contribute to the industry’s shift to an outcome-based business model.
