While everyone gathered for cake to honor these dedicated teammates, members of the Baldor family took a moment to thank each of them, especially Richard. Their heartfelt sentiments included fond memories from the past 45 years that highlighted the commitment, passion, humor and loyalty he brings to BST Global.
I first met Richard when I was coming to the office with my father in the summers. Over the decades, he taught me and helped me grow in this business. No matter what the situation was, he was always there. Thank you so much, Richard.

Beginning his career with BST Global just after graduating from the University of South Florida, Richard joined a much smaller team back in 1981. At that time, the company was in the process of developing and releasing the first iteration of its flagship ERP system and still felt like a start-up.
Over the years, Richard’s role and responsibilities evolved along with the business and its services. As a developer, he was instrumental in converting the ERP application from running on DEC minicomputers to PC networks. Later, he served as Support Team Manager before stepping into his current role as Sr. ICS Systems Engineer.
BST Global is fortunate and proud to have the opportunity to celebrate such a momentous milestone with Richard. Throughout their remarks, the Baldors stressed how much he means to the business and their family, emphasizing his friendship with the company’s late founder, Carlos A. Baldor Sr., who valued relationships over all else.
