We just launched our third annual global AI + Data Survey, which will be open to qualified respondents until 11:59 p.m. ET, January 15, 2027. With this initiative, we invite technology and data leaders of architecture, engineering and environmental consultancies (AEC) from around the world to share their experiences as they incorporate AI into daily operations.
This year’s survey focuses on the successes and challenges that AEC firms face when planning for, investing in, and using AI technologies such as agentic AI, predictive analytics and generative AI. In previous years, survey responses revealed that, while firms generally accept AI’s usefulness in the AEC industry, many are still in early experimentation rather than working toward meaningful integration. As AI technologies continue to evolve and use case opportunities expand, it’s important to understand how the AEC industry is responding.
Conducted in partnership with BST Global’s AI + Data Consortium and the American Council of Engineering Companies’ (ACEC) Technology Committee, the survey aims to capture data that shows AI’s impact on AEC firms of all sizes across the globe. Partnerships like these broaden the survey’s potential reach and increase engagement across the entire industry.
The data we collect from survey responses will inform our upcoming report on AI and data trends in the AEC industry over the past three years, scheduled for release in Spring 2027. Our goal is to provide firms with valuable insights and recommendations that will help them navigate their AI journey regardless of size or scale.
