BST Global was thrilled to be part of Environment Analyst’s inaugural Global Business Summit, which took place virtually on June 8–9. This year’s event theme, “From Crisis to Opportunity: The Decisive Decade,” focused on how the environmental and professional services industry is responding to the renewed sense of urgency in tackling climate and biodiversity crises to ensure a sustainable and equitable recovery from COVID-19 for people and planet.
Attended by nearly 200 professionals around the world, the summit featured 20+ expert presenters who shared valuable insights on the current market dynamics and outlook, and how the industry is responding to key drivers and disruptors.
Our Director of Knowledge Management, Hank Tran, was part of an important panel discussion titled “Exploiting Digital Transformation to Add Value to Your Service Proposition.” During his segment, Hank shared that digital technology such as machine learning and big data helps consultancies leverage predictive insights to positively affect project outcomes, profitability and utilization.
Here are a few highlights:
- “AI adoption has taken off; 37% of organizations have now deployed AI, which is a 270% increase from four years ago.”
- “Big data and intelligent automation can unlock efficiencies and predictive capabilities that will help you better manage your projects.”
- “I believe today’s project intelligence solutions need to be much more than just passive dashboards and static reports.”
- “Machine learning models are able to learn by following the path of a project that hit a roadblock and using that data to predict roadblocks in other projects, detect potential causes and change the trajectory moving forward.”
