With HDR’s Justin Webster 

HDR’s Chief Technology Officer, Justin Webster, sits down with BST Global’s Chief Executive Officer, Javier A. Baldor, to discuss how HDR is leveraging AI and digital innovation to advance its capabilities.  

Justin shares his passion for technology, which started at a very young age when he convinced his mother to take him for computer programming lessons. He goes on to discuss some of the pivotal moments in his career, such as establishing a digital innovation lab and an enterprise artificial intelligence program. He explains that putting people and technology together is a perfect enabler for organizations.  

Justin describes his strategy for “hitting home runs” when managing a portfolio of innovation. He says that while he’s excited about Gen AI, he doesn’t want to lose sight of the other narrow AI capabilities. He also shares some specific use cases that HDR is exploring around semantic search capabilities, proposal generation, image generation and more.   

Justin talks about his vision for technology at HDR, and how he has focused on education, knowledge and awareness to influence a positive staff reception of his vision. HDR is committed to being a technology leader in the AEC industry, so expect to see this firm push the envelope.
