Addressing a question he commonly receives after his presentation titled “How AI + Big Data Will Transform the AEC Industry,” Javier stated: “A Chief Data Officer is different from a CTO or CIO in the way they understand not only the algorithms, but the machine learning models, how to handle unstructured data and set up Azure data lakes and big data environments. The foundation of any AI strategy is data. You have to have a conscious big-data strategy, and that begins with leadership.”
