ABOUT THE SESSION
Jonathan explored the impact of generative AI on the design process and how large language models (LLMs) have the potential to reshape architectural and design workflows. Through the lens of three technological application domains — visual, spatial and semantic — Jonathan discussed how these advancements are influencing innovative space planning and challenging traditional design paradigms.
Using practical case studies, experiments and analysis, Jonathan delved into how LLMs are transforming creativity and ideation within design, showcasing their integration within Populous’ work and initiatives.
Additionally, this session explored the challenges and opportunities presented by generative AI. From legal and ethical considerations to integration hurdles in the highly idiosyncratic design process, Jonathan scrutinized how LLMs are paving the path for a new wave of innovation in architecture and design.
